The fastest way to make money is to find a need and fill it. That's why businesses such as starting a daycare or a cleaning business is always recommended because there is always a need for such services.

There was a recent university article on students making "big" money by gambling online so that is something that you may want to look into. (Although its not my kind of thing). Lots of people are making money by using Ebay and you might want to consider that. Either you or people you know may have things that they want to buy and/or sell on Ebay and you could be the middleman. You can always go the "x-rated" route - but that will depend on your tastes and/or inclinations, you could put up a website and charge others to advertise on it..........

You might also want to try and find out if you as a student can get more funding. Is there a scholarship or grant program that you may be eligible for? Have you exhausted your school's financial aid office?

If you don't mind a bit of physical labor you could start a business doing yard work and the like. The guy that does the yard work for a neighbor of mine says he has more business than he can handle! Another job that has been recently talked about a lot is starting a dog-walking service - clearly another example of a service that is in a high demand.

There are lists online about great businesses that one can start so you should look at some of those sites as well - you may get some good ideas.

Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to get started. No fees to join, just your web hosting fee (you can even get some free sites). Ebook marketing, even eBay. I have some articles on my site that you may want to read to get even more ideas.

My family started with a company that is turning out great for my college daughter. There is no age requirement on who can do this so my 10 and 6 year old do it as well, but the 17 year old it is real easy for. If you can scrape up $12 then you can get everything you need to get started...training, web store front, a back office, team work and 2 bags of healthy delicious jerky. Just take a look...we don't sell it (but it is an option), but we work together to reach our goals and it is only $12 so that's peanuts to most people so you rarely get a No.

Good luck with what ever you try and if you look at a few things that hardely cost you anything then you wont loose anything.

Hello,

If you are willing to start a home based business, I think you might try searching for the ones that let you try for free to see what they offer. I tried with Pro Wealth Solutions for a week to see what happens and they put on my powerline more than 5,000 paid members and 64,000 pre-enrolle and you earn money from them even if you don't refer anyone up to $1092.00 monthly. I know that you might think those numbers are to high and, yes, they are because PWS is currently in Pre-Launch. The official launch date is September 15, 2006 and that's why the numbers above. A lot of people are getting in because of that. You should take the free tour and learn how the business run in order to make the decision to upgrade your membership. So you should try with those that let you get in for free and here is the link for you http://jdavila.ProWealthResults.com
this website comes with the membership and a lot more. Once you get your pass, you will get all my personal information.

An Internet business is a great way to get your feet wet with minimal startup costs. It will take a few dollars to get set up however. While there are template type sites that you pay per month and include hosting they often do not allow for much customization. For a professional site you should hire a web designer. Since the best way to get customers to your site is through great optimization, a professionally created site will probably be worth the expense.

As for what to sell or how to make an income from your site...the possibilities are endless. Niche sites are good so you can narrow down your target market. And these days content is king. So plenty of content is important. Lots of graphics and banners turn off a lot of customers. They much prefer to read about a product or service and are drawn to personal recommendations. Product comparison sites are hot right now. Use affiliates (check out Amazon and cj.com) if you can't provide your own products or don't want to store inventory. Drop shipping is another way to go. You can sell products without having to store or ship them yourself.

I'm still not quite sure what your inclinations and desires are, but if you love scents I have an opportunity available here:
http://www.aromasuccess.com

It's definitely doable for a home business and if you are a student you can always sell to friends and others on campus. If there are booths set up in your student center you could get one and sell your creations. Or come up with funky names and wholesale them to local stores.

I came across this the other day...

"Do you know that we were already born into a NETWORKed human race. Just think abt it! IF we NetWORK as a TEAM on the InterNET, the potential is UNBELIEVABLE! Let's put our existing NetWORK to WORK!"

Paying It Forward,
