This is about selling meat chickens. I would take preorders for how many whole chickens people wanted. I would feed them, keep them in a kennel so they would have plenty of room to range. To keep from having to be licensed. I would presell the chickens and basically offer to do the butchering from free. You can purchase day old chicks for less than $2 each. A cornish game hen would be ready to process in 4 weeks, a fryer would be like 6 weeks, and a roaster at 8 weeks. See each cornish game hen for $10, each fryer for $12.50, and each roaster for $15. I have the fenced in range areas already. The only upfront cost to me would be ordering the chickens and the food. I have all my own processing equipment. I only have 11 layers right now but I could order more and actually sell eggs. I started taking preorders last year for tomato and pepper plants I started at home. I had 24 different varieties of tomatoes and 14 different pepper plants. I sold for $3.00 ea. I just did this from my wifes work. In two weeks we sold about $120 worth and there are not that many people working with her. If you bought 4 plants you would get the 5th one free. We have had great comments from the people who bought our plants. Back ot the poultry. I can also do turkeys. I am thinking the minis called White Midgets and a couple of other different breeds.

wow, this is totally out of my ballpark as I know next to nothing about this but I would say that as long as you are sure you have the rights and proper license to do this in your area then go ahead with it. I would double check though with your state license people to make absolutely sure it is okay. You can get major fines if you do it and its not.

Consider giving free plants to every customer that brings in a new customer. Consider rewarding repeat customers with a punch card; i.e, punch card for five purchases; 5th purchase enter drawing for weekly prize ( free meat ).
