I'm looking forward to reading the responses to this posting because as yet, I don't really see the value in adwords.

Hi Benc
In my company we use Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Enhance. Between them all we spend about $6k to $7k/month. Objectively speaking, Enhance doesn't bring us much traffic at all. In terms of traffic they would rank in the following order. Google, Yahoo, MSN. I review our bids everyday and depending on the margins of a given product adjust the bids to fall in the 3rd or 4th spot. I've found this to be the most cost effective slot for our products. In terms of traffic quality, MSN, with Google and Yahoo tying. By quality traffic I'm referring to orders. We used a program that allows us to see who's on the site in real-time, their city, state, and country. In addition, it shows us where they came from, what they queried, how long they were there and what pages they looked at, what browser they use etc. It's really cheap for all that it offers and helps us tailor our advertising...it tells us pretty much everything but what they're having for lunch. I can't stand Google! They are too big for their britches! But I can tell you first hand that (while I love Yahoo), Yahoo took a lot of money from me at the rate of 2 Pay Pal withdrawals each week. I set my replenish limit at $30.00. Yahoo makes you give them access to your credit card so that when your money runs low, they take more to replenish you account. I set my spending at $50.00 per day, but I always had clicks that amounted in spending over the $50.00 each day.
The lesson that I learned from this was that...While I would rather use Yahoo search marketing, Google was better because Google did not keep replenishing money spent from my account. They just cut my ad off! -------------------------------------------------------------------- New to Internet Marketing? Need to get the word out about your product or service? And it's free... I've heard it said (but not verified, so this is pure hearsay) that if sugar and corn syrup were new additives the FDA would never allow them anywhere near food. Considering the adverse effect it has to physical health and to behaviour it isasy to understand why.
I definitely agree about whole foods. Go with unrefined foods where you can. There is also a huge upsurge in people eating only raw unrefined foods and I know two vegetarians who have switched to raw with huge improvements in their health. After all folks, we were not really designed to eat cooked food slathered in rich sauces.
To be fair to corn syrup though, the study only found mercury in 50% of corn-syrup high foods. It did not directly analyse the corn syrup and the article definitely did not form sufficient linkage of the mercury to corn syrup as a source (though it did point a finger at the fact that some older processes use mercury in the production of input chemicals). Since the mercury was prevalent in foods with a high dairy concentration maybe milk was to blame?
