Are you sure you don't mean licensed? If a company is licensed to do business/operate in another country but not in the U.S. they must get licensed in the U.S. to be able to operated and/ or do business in the U.S. Copyrighting is something different from licencing. What exactly are you trying to do? Copy the name or business model? You certainly shouldn't try to copy the name. But you can "copy" the business model. You can build your own similar business. Similar. Not exact. That's what competition is all about.
