Hello there! I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My name is Nickcole, 28 year old female, currently residing in the Midwest directly in the Heart of Illinois. I've been seeking a legitimate business opportunity for several years now, with little or no success at all. My reasons for wanting my own business or work from home opportunity are numerous. I have several years of business management and Customer Relations to offer and I currently hold a management position with the 2 nd largest hotel chain in the US for over 11 years. I'm quite successful in my present career however due to some health issues that have caused me to slow down a bit, I must find something very soon to supplement or replace my current income. I'm a dedicated, hard-working individual that is able to work independently or with a team and be successful. I just have yet to find the right opportunity. I have Auto-Immune Disorder that has brought on several different major health issues such as Diabetes, Ulcerative Colitis, and Pyoderma Gangrunosum just to name a few. I currently have severe Pyoderma Ulcerations on the shins of both of my legs that are extremely large and painful and may cause more serious conditions such as staph infections to amputations. Although I'm undergoing the proper treatment, this can take several long months to heal or even years to heal making it nearly impossible to make a living beings I'm required to stay off my legs to promote healing, which I'm unable to do at my current career that requires me to be on my feet 9-11 hours daily. Until than I must continue working these long hours on my feet and risking more severities to my current health problems. I need something that I can work from home or online. I'm willing to work all the hours necessary as I'm very motivated, ambitious, and realize that you get what you put into it. I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme, I totally avoid these so called opportunities. Nothing in life is FREE and we must work at success. I'm totally willing to work and put in 100% of what is expected of me, as that is only fair. Unfortunately due to the medical conditions I currently have and have had for several years, I have some financial set backs. In most cases, while seeking these type of opportunities I'm finding that investments are required and that's very difficult for me to come up with at this time. When you're an honest person and willing to work, why is it that we must invest so much money to make money?

I also have several years of entrepreneurship studies/business owner operations as well. I have a few ideas of businesses I want to invest in, however at this time I don't have the capitol to invest with.

Please, if there is anyone out there with useful information I would love for you to inform me of your thoughts, ideas, or opportunities. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to succeed?even if it means long hours and bleary eyes!! Well the first thing that comes to mind is you using adsense. Adsense lets you place ads on your website or blog and you get paid when visitors to your site click on the ads. Now here is a link to a blog post about how much money people are making with adsense:

In order to be able to use adsense you will have to have a website or blog first and you have to submit it to them so that they can review and approve it.

It also sounds like you want to be able to work for someone else from your home. So far I only know of two companies that I would recommend and I give them to my clients upon request. Other than those two there aren't any others that I would really recommend.

I'm always in favor of one starting one's own business and so far the best piece of advice that I have seen for those that want to start their own business and start to make money as quick as possible is to start a business showing people how they can either make money or save money. Another good piece of advice for starting a business that makes money is for you to find a need and fill it.

You'd be amazed at the number of businesses that people have started online that are legitimate businesses!

I know a few people that sell sunglasses online and they are doing great. You can get ideas from their websites www.polarizedoptics.com and www.polarized4u.com . If you concern about getting supplies to sell, google "sunglasses wholesale" will give you ideas where to buy them. You can buy a dozen for $25 then sell each pair for about $25. You don't have to reinvent the wheel, just follow their web structure.

Like others, I have tried so many online businesses that were such a waste of time.

I too was looking for a way to supplement my income so after careful researching I decided to join a company called Global Domains International. My heart goes out to you. It is very difficult when you have an illness to work but yet you have to have money to live as well. Can you get disabilility? I know it is hard but your illness seems severe enough that maybe you could. I would still look into a business on the internet. This will give you the freedom that you need. Stress from a job when you are ill makes things 10 times worse. I would do some searches for legimate businesses on Google but be very cautious there are more scams then there are legitimate business out there.

With a 'soft launch' in April and pre-launch May 5th, I don't suppose you have much history on how they pay.

I checked them out on a couple different forums and see where they offered a gas card program.

Two major processors that tried the month gas card program in past years failed as they couldn't generate enough profits to pay for the gas. Gasoline has a much lower markup (profit margin) than almost any other retail product in the U.S. As a matter of fact, the U.S. government and states make more off fuel taxes than either the refineries or the retailers.

With so little profits, it's hard to cover the cost of the free gas cards, causing the successful programs to collapse from any fast growth.

Furniture stores, car dealers, and others participated in retail gas card giveaways a couple years ago and received a lot of bad PR when the fulfillment centrers stopped processing the monthly gas car/credit claims.

As long as you don't have to pay any monthly fee to participate, at least you aren't at risk of losing money. But, I'd be hesitant to sign-up any friends or family that you want to stay on good terms with if the Society fails.

Do you have an update to give us one month after your initial post on the "Society"?

Just curious, due to past experience/knowledge with other gas card rebate programs.

Two things -

First - your link didn't work. I'm assuming it was your affiliate link that wasn't working.

I went to the 124online.com site, but didn't see anything that appealed to me. Not necessarily a bad thing, as I don't care for MLM opportunities. Too many people lose money trying to build a business on recruiting others to recruit others, ad nauseum.

Second - Nickole has never responded once since her original post of 2 1/2 years ago.
