"What it takes to start jar mix business"

My sister and I are thinking of going into business making jar mixes, cappucino mixes, etc. Wondering if anyone could give me some insight as to what is involved. Licenses, etc. We are going to use our own recipes. Anyone know what this will entail? Appreciate any assistance, as we are READY!

Hey Lynetta,
I like your idea -- where are you located? I had thought about creating a website to sell dry mix products and flavored coffee. However, North Carolina has some strong requirements for food safety so I tried to find a wholesale company that would do private label then drop ship. Haven't had much luck on that end. Hard to find companies willing to deal with a new venture that could not guarantee large orders in the beginning.

Am anxious to learn your progress and wish you the best -- perhaps your success will revive my thoughts.
