I'm looking for distributors/wholesalers/drop-shippers for electronics, video game software and hardware, pc software, comic books and books. I am wanting to open a store and I simply do not know how these stores order their inventory. Any search I do just leads me to drop-shipper and wholesaler scams. Does anyone have a lead for me... how do I get products?

Drop shipping is a great way to turn out SOME money. But you have to understand that you are competing directly with others like yourself. The companies that provide you your inventory are providing to hundreds and maybe thousands like you. Most of them provide a cookie cutter website that differs very little from anyone else except for the name of the site owner. It's a form of MLM or Mary Kay with a virtual inventory. everyone is limited as to how they advertise etc.

The people who make it big in drop shipping will be the people who provide you the site and virtual inventory, these are the people who did all the leg work for you and expect a full pay back for their efforts. the second type is lucky one who works out deals with suppliers on the latest and greatest product.

I've researched drop shipping extensively and it comes down to endurance and attrition. If you can withstand the down time, you might make it. This simply means holding out while a few orders trickle in and wait for your competition to fail and close shop.

The only legit reference I have for you is onesource. The guy who started one source is a wholesale/drop ship guru of sorts. he wrote an ebook called "Start Your Internet Business Right". Google that info, should help you.

Ironically, this is the business I was in for over a decade.

There are a lot of places for this. For video games you want
to deal with the number one company which is Cokem
International, Chuck Bond, 763-545-4500

Otherwise you can also deal with Realtime Electronics in
Mineapolis. i don't have their number handy
