I would like to start a Computer Consulting business, but don't know where to start. I've searched my area and there is limited services provided. I'm unsure of any grants related to starting up a computer business. I've read here about writing a business plan and applying for Grants?? Any help here would be great...Thanks

I would start with the business plan first, even if you do not require funding, it will get you on track.

You can find a sample business place for a computer consulting business on line at http://www.bplans.com/sp/businessplans.cfm.

From there you will notice other areas you need to research or work through.

If you're an Idea Cafe Regular, you can check out business grant listings in our Biz Grant Center at https://www.businessownersideacafe.com/business_grants/index.php. (You must be signed in to access the Grants Du Jour listings). Idea Cafe is currently offering a $1000 grant to small business entrepreneurs, even if you're just starting out; information is in the grant center.

If you're not a Regular, it's free and easy to sign up. Just go to
