Here's my challenge: In alphabetical order, let's list free or low cost marketing ideas.

For instance:

ADD your company name to the Craigslist site.
ADD your signature line to everything you do...you never know who will see it

BRING flyers to neighborhood libraries.
BUILD on your contact list daily (even it is one name)

CAR Advertising -- vinyl letter on windows, magnets, vinyl wraps, etc.

DISPLAY your name whenever you get a chance...business cards, display boards, in your email signature.

EVENT Marketing -create an event or become a part of a local event. School fundraiser and you "donate" your time and BUSINESS to make the event larger, dropping your name like crazy of course.

FIND people to try your product and give a review or FIND people to review your website and tell you haw user friendly it is.
:P

GENERATE great mailing lists through all kinds of free opportunities--ask every one who walks in your door (or visits your site) to give you their mailing and/or email address. Offer a small reason that is beneficial to them (free gift, notification of what's new, etc.).
We have our store open two weeks and every single person asked has signed our "guest book".

INITIATE friendships with other business owners. They might want to use your business services and you might want to use theirs!

INVEST your advertising money wisely. Try pay-per-click advertising and think alot before making a big investment in any kind of advertising to make sure you will get a return on your investment.
