81, Ideas to make money

Our business is a historic home in a small town which we rent out for special occasions. We opened about 4 years ago. We need ideas of money making events to fill in the gaps between rental events. So far, we have had a home product show, where we sold booths, an author's night, where we had 7 local published authors come and talk about their writing and served dinner; and next we have a treasure n' trunk sale, which is going to be like a great big yard sale. A mothers day fun fashion show and brunch is also in the works. We do not have the facility to serve food on a regular basis which is a drawback at this time.

A holistic health fair - spas, massage therapists, health food stores, etc.
A bridal show - any body that would like a bride client
A Christmas fair - vendors of gifts
An arts and crafts show

That's all that pops to mind right now.
Hope that helps.

You can also rent it out as photography studio space. Alot of freelance photographer do "on location' photography but occasionally the need for studio space does present itself.

What about offering it at a discount or even free to local associations such as the Chamber of Commerce to host their meetings within it to get them to come check it out and get some foot traffic through it to help spread the word about rentals.

I like the ideas that were presented as well that surround Holidays. Community involvement around the Holidays helps tremendously.

Any chance if you aren't able to prepare food at the facility you could work with a local caterer to prepare and bring in food for events/rentals?
