532, iPage or Wix
Posted by mart_9861, Tue May-29-12 05:59 PM
I'm confused...I'm starting an online business from home that will require users the ability to upload a 2-4 min video clip for viewing just as users can do on YOUTUBE. Although I won't go into specific details on my new startup yet, I would like to know if the FREE website providers like iPage or WIX would be a useful platform for this. Again, my business concept is similar to that of YOUTUBE. Thanks!

Everything depends on your budget. Creating projects for http://www.buythesisonline.org includes building websites and often use these constructors. From my experience to make a website similar to youtube you'll have to spend lots of money buying paid features and upgrading your account. My strong opinion is: better to order a website and develop it from the ground up because otherwise you won't be able to calculate expenses from the very beginning.

No, WIX or iPage free versions will not be a good choice for you. You will need a custom build to do what you are looking to do. It will not be as easy as you think
