Hi,
I want to start using bulk email to market an online membership networking product. Pretty easy to sell so far but want to expand rapidly.
I can buy lists BUT what do I need to know about complying with spam laws?
Can I trust the list providers that say their lists are opt-in and legal?
Any suggestions.

Hi Paul:
I don't know much about the laws and what your responsibility is as a buyer of a list - I would suggest you read the laws. Here is a link to information about the Can-SPAM Act:

Also, keep in mind that just about EVERY state has it's own anti-spam laws. So, you'll want to be careful.
