I do personalized clipart. I only need a website where I can post samples and have people contact me, nothing fancy or expensive. The only free web hosting site I found was tripod. It was great until I tried to upload my images. Even though they were saved in jpeg the system wouldn't upload, so now I'm looking for a free web hosting site that actually works. Does anyone here know of any? Thanks.

You can also try http://www.goDaddy.com they have free hosting with a minimum of advertisements. Whichever you use make sure that your domain is not www.them.com/your_domain. This is bad all the way around. There are decent hosting plans for around $3.99 - $14.99/mo. without ads available as well.

Don't ever use free web hosting!!! Looks bad no matter how you look at it! pay 1-3 dollars a month and get your own hosting...

If you don't have that much money then don't start a business (DO NOT Take that the wrong way) you are just not ready. find a part time job to supplement your income and then open up a company/website the proper way and make money.

you pay for what you get, therefore when you use free hosting someone else is using your visitors for their own advertising reason!

I have had my website hosted by http://cyberhosted.com for over two years now and have been very happy with them.

They have a starter plan for only $1.95 per month. I have never had any trouble uploading any images or files. They don't put ads on your site like a lot of the free hosting accounts do.

For only $1.95 per month and no ads, how could you wrong? They also have great support too! They answer your questions like a friend, not a ticket #.
