There is no news to your press release. It is simply an ad. The most important question a press release has to answer is: Is this news?" And it isn't; if it is, it isn't clear.

Before spending money on releasing this release as is, I would hire a copywriter to write the press release that really tells the story.

Ultimately, who is Mr. Tanaka? If nobody cares, nobody is going to pick up the article.

Once you have a press release worthy of being picked up, then you should definitely send it to every media outlet in your city and state. Local media love local success stories. Also, send it out to any and all media associated with dogs. Cat and Dog magazine, etc.

Then, to be sure it gets picked up by every RSS feed on the internet, submit it to all the free online PR sites.

Then, if you still haven't gotten the desired coverage you expected, hire a PR person who is familiar with your field and then pay them. There is nothing worse than paying good money to a PR person to POST your press releases and still getting nothing from them. (Learn how to do it for free if you can't find a specialist in your field.)

(I'll say it again, because I know they read these, for the powers that be, here at Idea Cafe, a PR release section would be a great tool for members.)

Oh... and last thing... Congratulations and good luck.
