1255, Looking for ways to promote Artists online|
Posted by oviedostyle, Wed Oct-29-08 05:11 PM
I started an online gallery to promote artists. So far things are going well. I have 3 artists other than myself who are paying(a low price) for a page on the site. I would like to add more to the site to promote the artists, without charging them more.
I already have a forum, videos, blog, interview page, photo albums and a page where any artist can put a free banner ad up.
Does anyone have any fresh ideas for the site? What else could I add to give the artists more exposure?
Thanks, I look forward to your assistance. Leah

Have you used social media at all? Things like Twitter and Facebook? Even MySpace may work for an artist site.

Here is a site that might give you some good ideas. Artists can go there and set up a free web page with blogs, videos, pictures and many other things. You might want to get some ideas from here and incorporate them into what you are doing. The page that I put up there is... http://artfusion.ning.com/profile/JeffStewart
From my page... you can go to the home page and set up your own.

Thanks I have changed the format so it is free for artists to be on the site. There is a lot of competition out there, so right now I am focusing on just finding talent to create buzz on the site.
Thanks for the suggestions,
