906, Are there Grants/Capital for struggleing businesses?

My husband and I have been running our business for 4 years now. We are third generation owners, in which the business was started in 1951. The first year was great, then the economy took a turn for the worst. One of our major companies we supplied, year round, has gone bankrupt. With the rising fuel costs, it has hit us hard. We depend on Diesel to operate. We have been surviving on credit cards and loans to make it threw this last winter. Spring, Summer, and Fall we can stay busy with fence orders, but come winter time again, since losing our year round company, I don't know how or what we will do to survive. We have never been so stressed and broke in our lives. Our credit has suffered due to late payments. We had to put everything on the line(Our home) to purchase the business to begin with. No one will give us a loan. We are maxed out on credit cards. Have alrady borrowed what we can off friends and family. Does anyone know of any grants/support out there for people in our situation? Unless new markets open up & fuel prices go down, I don't know what we will do.

Hi,
I know of a program that many For-Profit and Non-Profit business, entrepreneurs, and income seekers are using to raise funding online for various projects. You could raise income needed for your suffering bussines due to the economy. I beleive you and your husband, could leap out of the bind your in and start raising the funds you need online with no loans, no banks, and no commitments.

While I am not one to discourage people...I would avoid sites like the one above since they obviously can't comply with forum rules.
Go to a SCORE center or the small business administration - they can offer you free advice from legitimate companies / organizations.

I'm new, what is a Score Center? What if I am a VERY small business and I new start up (under 500.00)? I dont even have a business lic. because soemthing always happens when I go to pay for one.

Grants for expanding a small business may typically be used to by bigger facilities, for training new employees, and so on if your small business is approved for them. If you are having difficulty with your research and would benefit from discussing your needs with someone with government funding research resources

In good times, purchases are often seen and felt like rewards- like ?you deserve it.? In tough times, purchases seem more like sacrifices ? more along the lines of Here are tips to help you get parents to feel good about buying your products.
