Have you tried FREE publicity with a press release? That is my all time favorite marketing tactic. I had incredible success with mine. I wrote my own press release and emailed it to two local newspapers. They immediately sent out photographers and wrote full page articles.

From those articles came several more from other newspapers. This went on for a full year! And my business was nothing particularly newsworthy. It was a simple children's shop. However, the press release was well written and got everybody's attention.
