418, Female-Owned Business Needs $$$
Posted by prettyface, Mon Oct-15-07 09:56 AM
Showboaters Marine Detailing, a female-owned boat detailing service out of Florida needs $3k to buy more equipment and possibly franchise. I have tried applying for grants but cannot seem to find one that fits my situation. I'm a hard worker and a full-time student, but I'm drowning in debt from this business. Not only is it hard on me because I am a woman, but at the same time, I'm competing with more established, male-owned businesses in the area that don't even do the work themselves or show up on time! If anyone knows of a grant or is willing to make a donation, that would be wonderful. Please let me know.

Thanks All!

Jess

Hi Jess,
Sounds like you are in a tough situation. Have you tried applying for some kind of loan to assist you?

I applied for a grant worth $50,000 but won't here back until December. I've also looked into several other grant companies, but most of them provide business counseling and not money. Any ideas?

I checked out your website and ordered Fundraiser 1.0. Hopefully it works. All I have to lose it $4.99, right? Can you tell me more about it? How does it work? Are the customer testimonials true?

It works for most. You will find all the details in the manual and back office. About the Grant, are you doing work for the government? Some grants are out there, but it must be for developing areas.
