I am trying to start my own cleaning business. I would like to clean the new construction homes, you know go in after the crew is done and clean up the houses. My question is how much should you charge for this type service. Do you charge so much per square foot. And also would you send letters to different Construction companies letting them know your looking for work, or would you run an ad in the paper or both. And I also need a good name for this business. It would be myself and my sister working this business together. My last name is Bullock so I was thinking of using my last name in there. Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help .

Good question. I usually just do local pricing research for clients Iwork with that are starting a business. You can do the same depending on your available time. But you should decide either to a) provide a competitive and discounted service or b) provide a higher costing service that has premium benefits over the other compettitors. If you are just average, chances are you will be ignored. The best way to reach them , I think based on my previous experience,is direct contact..in person -on site visits or over the phone appointment scheduling.
