Hi!

I am having a terrible time finding information for a high-end liquor/cigar store start-up. I haven't been able to find anything on the net and the suppliers I've called haven't really been able to give me information (they seem to be ready to take numbers, not give them). A couple of them suggested that I contact other liquor store owners and get their imput so I did. No one will respond to my calls or emails. Does anyone out there have any ideas on how I can go about getting this information?

Start with your local Small Business Development Center. They have resources and access to information that you generally can't get from other business owners.

While I haven't read them all, Entrepreneur (the magazine) has a couple of "how to start..." books that might help give you some initial guidance.

I did buy and read the basic how to start a business book and found it informative.
