I actually don't want to give up a successful company but our reltionship is so rocky that I feel fairly miserable coming into work. I think it's time. I know that financially it will not benefit me as well as if I stayed, I feel that I need to do this for my sanity. As far as "he can only block you from selling for so long", how long is so long? If we have a buy/sell that says he has the right to first refusal, he can stall me forever. Also, I am more than willing to sign a non compete, as I would like to take some time off to spend with my 3 year old daughter. Has anyone put a time limit on "rights of first refusal" so that the selling partner won't be waiting in purgatory forever?!
