Love it when people think outside of the box. Questions to ask:

How much are you willing and able to spend on your start-up marketing?
Where are you going to put your advertising so your locale knows about you and what you offer?

Is the delivery service the only thing you offer? Older people can't clean up doggie messes and may have trouble cleaning out cat boxes too. (just a thought). There are even "doggie doolies" (like pet poop septics) that can be installed in a yard, so you don't have to actually carry the messy bags around-so doing a yard clean-up can be done quickly. You might even be able to get a wholesale account for these products to install and add to your profitability.

You are looking at additional wear-and-tear on your vehicle. Extra insurance and gas money for the deliveries. How will you turn a profit? Do you have a website for your service or a social networking page? These are really good to market (inexpensively) in your area. Plan to join a chamber of commerce? If you want to make money, you need to go where the money is.

Best of luck!
