I already have a school that converts those with all thumbs into handyfolks but experience few adult enrollees during summer.

Would you send your kid to a fun, hands-on school that will have them completely build a 1 bed, 1 bath house?
"Camp" would most likely run a week, have a few field trips to construction sites and still have them home for supper each night.

We aren't trying to turn your teenage son or daughter into a plumber or carpenter, we just want to give them handy-ness skills they will never forget so they will be more self reliant and confident.

You can see what we do at www.888ididfix.com and the summer program will bemuch like our normal program.

What a great camp idea for tweens/teens. I would consider your camp for my children but the cost is a bit prohibitive at $500 (price on your site). Most parents I know would be willing to pay up to $200 to send their kids to a week-long camp.

Best wishes,
Aurora

Yes, definitely! I think this is a splendid idea. A stint like that would stay with a kid forever, and that's a good thing! It teaches problem solving and creativity, among other things, and that's very useful in life!
