Your website looks very nice. I assume you are a startup company and can't afford the cost that comes with a professional web designer? Hence the low price per month you pay.

Fwiw, I brought on a partner to back me up with my website. Normally he charges $35 per hour, and I easily use 2-3 hours of his time every month, but we set up a deal where I would pay him a fixed rate each month and he would back me up.

I always have someone to help me with code when I need help. You might want to look into having someone on call, so to speak, that you can email or MSN for back up when you run into coding that just doesn't seem to work or is a mite over your head.

Don't give up, it really does get easier over time and you'll find yourself needing the consultant's help less and less as time goes by.

Yeah i have $0.00 to pay anyone for anything and I am not going to take a loan or anything that is not needed. I do talk to a few people who help me out, some tell me to start a new site but i like this one and it seems to be working fine other than the calulator issue and it not working with all browsers

You can check out my system - see my signature. We've had a lot of people come from homestead.

One thing I would caution you on is getting too caught up in your website. All you need is for people to be able to buy your products - don't start getting super fancy and wasting time on flashy designs. Is your business designing websites? If not, then make the site work (i.e., where people can buy stuff) and concentrate on selling your product. Once you start making money, then you can turn back to your website. But until then, just remember that your big priority to make your website usable so people can see your product and buy it.

But, having the site not work on other browsers is a serious problem which you need to fix.

pagebuzz.com works on all browsers because we built it that way :-)

Your site doesn't work on all browsers because you are using elements that are not supported by all browsers :-) If you use those same elements on a different system, you will still run into the same problem.

Yes, you can do on our system what you have now but why swtich unless you have to (or you want to save money)? Since you've already put so much time in the site, I would just take out the elements that are giving you problems (unless it's your menu or something). I use Firefox and I went to your site - I don't see any problems (i.e., I can buy stuff - not easily, but I can buy). Granted, maybe I would organize things a little differently and I wouldn't have the title space change with every single page, but if it works, it works :D.

I would stop worrying about the site and start worrying about generating business.

Oh, but I would add a phone number to the top of every single page with a note saying that if they have problems ordering or have questions, they can call.

Okay well i was told by someone else who used fire fox that the boxes around the pictures didnt line up right ect. so i mean i could get rid of those but then i just feel that it looks bad because it doesnt have a border around it. I am not done with the site so i cant start selling, You said that my items where not easy to buy what other way am i supposed to do it so that they are easy??is there anyway that i can get rid of the elements that dont work with the other browsers so it looks good with all of them??

Hi , I am new here and saw your post. I don't think I am supposed to market on here but the link to my website is below and there is a comapny called GDI that is mentioned and they give you your very own website with a website builder and hosting , with your own domain name, and 10 email addresses. Right now they are offering a 7 day FREE trial to see if you like it. After that it is only $10.00/month. The only other place I can think of that would be free and it is the website only would be MSN or AOL. Good Luck to you and let me know how you make out.
