I had a good friend that started a business like this from home in NC. She was baking cookies, and making designer dipped apples. She made the mistake of not getting her license ahead of time and finding out the laws regarding a cooking business from home and was almost closed down. It's not as easy as Paula Deen shares of how she started. Check with your towns licensing board. Have a business plan prepared ahead of time. Your City's licensing and Chamber of Commerce will have tons of information for you to get started on the right track. God Bless and may you richly prosper in your endeavor.
