hi

I'm currently doing tailoring and alterations at home, sewing bags by order and recovering outdoor furniture, trailer cushions, but I'm looking for more opportunities to sew more stuffs at home. I have industrial sewing machine and a serger. Please email me, thank you.

I doubt that anyone here is going to give you business out right. I recommend that you get a website and started promoting as well as getting out into your local area, via chambers of commerce, business groups etc and letting them know what you have to offer.

Go to some local craft shows. As a shopper, you will see what is selling. If you go as a vendor (seller) bring samples of your work, and a book of photos of your past work. Many people will pick up your card and some may call as much as 6 mos. later with work.

You can also visit local clothing consignment shops. Ask to leave your business cards. Point out to the shop owner/manager that the store may make more sales to people who need items taken in.

Take out a small ad in the local paper.

Visit local material/craft stores. Ask about leaving a business card.

Many grocery stores have bulletin boards for local ads/sales/services. Leave a larger brochure there, with pull off numbers/cards. Check weekly to replace as needed.

I hope this will help you get started.:7

The small store where I sell my jewelry is run by a woman who also sews and sells mostly girls dresses. The pattern is simple. A small girls sundress. During the summer she could almost keep her store open just on the dresses. She also gose to farmers markets and craft fairs on weekends. :-)
