I have a business concept that I would like to turn into a small business. Its a novelty mail order business with an event planning component.
It promotes Togetherness, Romance, Relationships and Love.
My dilemma is I have no business training in my professional backround. My Master's is in socialwork and I'm at a loss developing a functional business plan. The language and the process are totally unfamiliar.
I'm really not interested in anyone critiquing my idea, I'm in need of information that will allow me to transfrom my idea from a thought to a business.

Have you tried contacting your local small business association chapter? You should be able to find them in your local phone directory. They would be able to assist you with this.

Sounds like a great idea. Have you thought about finding a business partner who has the business strengths that you lack? You could learn a lot from them and hopefully build your business more quickly than if you were on your own?
You may also want to check this out: www.myhomeoffice.ws. This is the simplest concept with the most potential of any home business I've seen out there.
