I don't know if this is the right forum, so here goes. I am a photographer/artist and part of my business is in the field and I would like to be able to accepot credit cards. What is the best way for me to do this? Any suggestions on providers? what I should oook for? look out for? wireless through my cell phone? fees? pitfalls? Thanks in advance...

You will find some suggestions for obtaining a merchant account here: http://www.smallbusinessstartup.biz/recommended/
Give them a call to get set up. Transaction fees are pretty competitive. It's the set up fees you need to watch out for. Some are free and some charge as much as $300. Read the fine print in the application as set up fees may not be refundable. You will need your reseller # or tax ID.

Kind of late with my reply but if you are still looking www.propay.com is simple and they have an automated system so you can call in a charge from your cell phone.
