231, I Need Word of Mouth Advertising For My Business!!!!
Posted by cyt072, Tue Dec-04-07 10:33 PM
I have been in business for almost 7 months now and I would like to get my show on the road. I have been marketing my product which is a vitamin suppliment to my friends and family just making enough money to pay for my vitamins and my internet provider.

The suppliment is great, tastes great and loaded with so many vitamins to help your body, but I am just having difficulty promoting it due to my finances. I am taking all suggestions for free advertising and low costs advertising. I can use all that I can get.

I have been using Traffic Swarm (http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?745649)and alot of there affiliates to assist me, but I get maybe a few hits on my website a day. When the day gets really rough, I play the lotto that Traffic Swarm offers.

The truth is that most of the visits you get from trafficswarm may be from others who have to click in order to get more traffic for their site. So, you end up with a "merry-go-round" of all riders who are advertisers shouting about their product at the same time to all the others who are shouting about theirs. No buyers - all promoters.

My quality of traffic dropped when I tried their system a couple years ago.

You need targeted buyers who are interested in your products. Unfortunately, it may be the best nutritional supplement ever brought to market, but it's awash in a sea of exotic fruit juice supplements made from berries and other fruits you'd never eat except on a dare. So with the choice of a dozen or more different fruit based supplements, who knows which one to start with? Most go with personal testimony of someone they know who has personal experience with the product. You may have the benefit of personal experience with your products, but your online prospects have know clue of who you are.

Then if you pitch it with a online ID, they have even less reason to be impressed with your claims.

IF, that's a very big IF, I was going to try one or more different supplements, I'd likely go to someone I know who has tried one. Next choice would be the local health food store - who has most of the same fruit juices in their products, but under different names - GNC offers at lease two different forms of the Noni fruit juices, along with a variety of other juice supplements - And at prices far below the "MLM exclusive" version of the juices. The same company may extract the juice and sell it to two or more competitors who add their own ingredients and supplements, adding sweeteners and even other juices, and their own name to the "miracle" fruit.

The internet is awash with all different companies and promoters pushing all kinds of supplements with a wide range of fruit juices in them. You are just one competing among millions.

Try finding your site by doing a google or yahoo search - Use only the name of your company or the fruit included and see how many matches come up (your competition) and how far down your site is listed - If you are below the 3rd page of listings out of thousands or millions of matches, don't expect to get any "targeted" traffic from the search engines.

I clicked on your trafficswarm link and it dropped your affiliate link. So you may not even get credit for driving people to trafficswarm. Your ID was gone when I reached the landing page.

You might have had more benefit from adding your link to your profile, so anyone interested could see what you are offering.

I market my home business online very effectively and get a lot of web traffic. I have a blog and free ecourse which can help you. Get it at http://www.onlinemarketinglessons.com
you need to do things like blogging, article marketing, press releases etc. Traffic exchanges are a waste of time in my opinion.
Offer people something of value that has nothing to do with your business and watch your traffic soar.

Word of mouth advertising is great but that can only happen
after you've established a list of clients/customers. Since
you have a website...you need to turn those hits into leads.
Hits are nice but if you can't convert them to leads...what's
the point. Try our new technology...www.webhits2leads.com.
It's extremely affordable and if advertised properly, you will
see your business grow and your downline grow as well.

Best of Luck!:D

What is your website? I see you posted your affiliate link, but how about the website you are referring too?

I think wpromote.com is an excellent source for getting your site indexed. It's $99/mo but they submit your site to 200 search engines every 30 days and include you in the Yahoo and Google sponsored results for 10 keywords.

I think it's worth it if you haven't got any significant traffic.

I have two top ten sites but the way I get popularity is:

1. Have relevant content and specify a target. I do so by talking about what I offer, keeping in mind people doing a search on Google and what they type in.

2. The next big thing is exchange relevant links with people, this doesn't mean with the competition. If you are in the market of selling wedding cakes, exchange links with photographers, etc, etc.
