64, Anyone in the newspaper business? Posted by blacklite_101, Fri Dec-15-06 04:33 PM
Hi everyone. I'm a former reporter who's in the process of starting a weekly newspaper in my area and am looking to network with other publishers (newspaper and/or magazine) who might be able to share some tips on the trade. I'd really be interested in knowing more about the business aspect of running a newspaper publishing company and what are some of the day-to-day problems and issues a publisher encounters. Good luck to everyone in their business venture...and let us never give up on seeking our dreams!!!

Start with your local small business development center! They can help in a multitude of ways and won't charge you a dime! Most SBDCs have an extensive library that you can browse through at their office.
Good Luck!

My wife runs a e-parenting magazine site (http://www.gagazine.com)... she's thinking of publishing a real magazine pending on how well it goes.
