"Working with teens was supposed to be a short term commitment, but it became a life-long journey. I am so fortunate to be able to impact the lives of youth in my communities, all while partnering with some of the most passionate and driven mentors and educational partners in Dallas," said Francine Hawkins-Alegeh.
She started Emergent Visionaries Inc. as the first non-profit in South Oak Cliff that was created and founded by a African American female that has multiple trades under her belt. It’s mission is to educate, advocate and mentor high school teens, homeless youth and poverty stricken women in the Dallas Metro and Oak Cliff areas.
