I have an online store and would be willing to offer any products that you make. I would post the pictures and then email you with orders. You could sew a few samples and then just "make to order" I'm not sure how busy this would keep you but it might be a start. You may be able to pick up other sellers. You would then be considered a "dropshipper" there are a lot of listing services to get your name out to resellers. Just a thought.

Do you have any friends that attend craft fairs, or better yet, sell at them? You could see if they would be willing to sell your stuff alongside theirs. Maybe you could offer them a small piece of the profit, or, maybe they'd just do it for free, since your products might help draw in more attention on their stuff as well.

Or, if you have any local boutiques and small stores that sell related items, maybe you could work out a deal with one or more to sell your stuff.

If you currently work, you could start off doing any of this kind of thing in your spare time, and it could lead into something that would bring you full-time income. You might find one of the things you make are a big hit, especially if it fits a specific niche.

What kind of things do you typically sew? Clothes, dolls, crafty stuff?

I actually have a product that I am considering shipping overseas for production. My issue is that the minimum order is much too high for my needs.
The item is a cloth ragdoll available in two genders and three skin hues. I need approximately 50 of each doll (300 total). My original prototype was hand sewn by a local woman who creates art dolls. She does not have time to complete this for me.
I need them by February 1, 2005.
I will sell them, coupled with another product, retail for $20.
My production costs must be $4 or less per doll.

My level of sewing experience is professional. I do custom wedding gowns, cut , sew and design. I have been doing this professionaly for over 20 years. I started sewing when I was 9 years old. AS I previously mentioned I do some of the costum designing for The Ashton- Drake doll Galleries. I do their bride dolls and other fashion dolls, and have helped win several awards for them. I have a hudge knowledge of fbrics and laces. I also can do a proto-type from an illustration. As for my rates, they vary, depending on the type of garment, number of peices, the fabric used, and if any zippers will be used. I charge 12.00-25.00 an hour, and will work with you , if it will be peice work.

I am looking for a seamstress, who has a machine and would liek to sew at home. Close to South Beach would be the easiest for me to come to you to drop clothing off, every couple of days. I will be visiting miami for about 2 weeks out of every month, so the work will be part time. It is not very intricate work, very simple designs. I'm looking for someone to sew some infant/child product samples for me. They are pretty simple designs. I sew, but not well enough to get the quality I want for these since I will be using these for photos for my press release as well as to show to potential retailers. These product samples will be made from oilcloth and possibly canvas so I need someone with the ability to sew these materials (both experience and equipment wise).

Since this is an unique product not yet seen on the market, I would require a confidentiality agreement before I could give more information. There is great potential here for steady work once I get the samples and get the word out to retailers.
