What does your business do?
Red Sea Project (RSP) provides education, training and mentoring
to women, youth and families. RSP partners with communities to
provide women's empowerment workshops, youth mentoring, Domestic
Violence awareness and prevention, suicide awareness and
prevention and workshops for families to enhance their quality of
life. All Red Sea Project programs focus on people recognizing and
acknowledging their life given life purpose. When we know what we
are made to do we know who we are.
When and why did you start the biz?
Red Sea Project started in 2012. Being unemployed for 1 year, I
decided to follow God's leading and implement Red Sea Project.
Creating and implementing the organization sat in my heart for
years, but the lack of confidence kept it from being birthed.
Working for multiple Nonprofits, building programs and creating
and implementing policy and procedure I knew it was time for me to
have my baby, Red Sea Project. My passion lies in helping people
find their life purpose and operate in it.
How Many People are in your Company?
Where's your office?
I work in a home office as well as I recently partnered with faith
based organization to share office space.
What's the toughest part of running your biz?
The toughest part of running my business is more often than not, I am
the business. I am the social media marketer, secretary, CEO,
Executive Director, Accountant, etc. I need more help to reach more
people, raise awareness and raise funds to continue programs.
What's the most fun part?
The most fun part about Red Sea Project is seeing the vision of a
program come to life, hearing the lives that have been impacted,
changed and inspired as well as seeing how a dream of helping others
became a reality and has continued growing every year.
Anything you would have done differently?
The one thing I would do differently is believe in the vision God
showed me about Red Sea Project the first time. Doubt kept me from
moving on some wonderful opportunities and caused me to delay the
process of where we could be.
What's next on the horizon for your biz?
Red Sea Project is excited to announce that we are creating and
implementing Domestic Violence and Suicide Awareness workshops for
individuals and families.
What advice do you have for others?
If your dream is bigger than you it is REAL! Don't doubt it, because
the dream maker (God) will give you the wisdom to make it happen!
How do you use Idea Cafe to help your biz?
I have just now reconnected to Idea Cafe and hope to find valuable
resources and information to help grow Red Sea Project and fine tune
