Gives housing and the wraparound services such as: Counseling/Life Coach, Parenting, Budget & Management, Time Management, Healthy Cooking, Resume Writing & Dressing for Success Classes. They have to maintain a 2.0 GPA, and after they complete their education we
help them find employment

Where's your office?
Spare bedroom. The walls are caramel, the curtains are chocolate brown, and the accent pillow on the chairs are red. The desk is dark brown wood.
What's the toughest part of running your biz?
Since the government is not licensing or monitoring any new businesses, we have to constantly do fundraisers, and go after private funds.
What's the most fun part?
My most enjoyment is watching the smiles of the babies, and the growth of their mothers. They walk and talk a little better everyday.
Anything you would have done differently?
If I had to do anything different it would be I wouldn't invest so much time in getting the government to understand how this "Out of Box" program will make a difference. I would have taken this idea straight to the private industry, because that's who's backing us
What's next on the horizon for your biz?
We are planning to open another location in 2019.
What advice do you have for others?
The best advice I can give to others is to make sure that you surround yourself with people who are smarter than you! Make sure that your Board Members (If your a non-profit) are from all walks of life.

I was a law enforcement officer for 7 years, and I'm currently an Investigator for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services in Baltimore, MD.

Is there any one person or event in your life that led
you to go into business for yourself?
Being a Foster Parent for seven years to young mothers that were either pregnant or had a child gave me the insight necessary to move forward with bridging the gap need for their success in life.
