Marketing for Beginners

So, at last, you have launched your brainchild of a business off the ground. Your brand is finally out there, having earned a prestigious place in your field of business, holding a banner of its own. Finally, your daring and bold business idea is now in the position to generate income. Great job! The next big challenge now is how do you stay there? And how do you grow?

We don't need to point out the stiff competition out there, and some very careful planning is needed to tackle this next challenge head-on. Yes, your brand is awesome. Yes, your product is a gift to mankind. But how do you let the world know about it?  Your product deserves a good push out into the consumer world. The easy answer is to create a powerful marketing plan. The hard part is everything that goes into it.

A CEO contributor post on Huffington Post shared a few tips for first-time marketing planners. He listed five fundamental rules that will help get you started more easily:

  1. Know your options. Be aware of what choices are available to you and figure out which of the dozens of marketing platforms and marketing strategies will best suit your brand of business.
  2. Do your research. Study how your target market reacts to each possible strategy or platform.
  3. Start small. Like most beginnings, start with a small investment to test the waters.
  4. Measure everything. Monitor and analyse every response to every marketing strategy and understand the fluctuations.
  5. Be flexible. Keep an open mind and be willing to change things up if they do not go as planned.

With the wide availability of information, though, sometimes knowing your options may leave you more confused than enlightened. In an effort to help businesses grow and learn, Forbes came out with a list of top marketing trends for the year 2019 that are worthy of your marketing budget. In the number one spot is, almost expectedly, content marketing. The article points out (and we can see as well) that content marketing has taken over the marketing world and is now the core of everything marketing teams do.

This strategic approach of creating and sharing relevant online materials such as blogs, vlogs and social media posts has proven its effectivity time and time again. It attracts attention. It creates interest. It generates leads. It increases online visibility and, ultimately, it brings in more profit.

Content marketing is a wonderful strategy by itself, but it does not stop there, for this very promising approach can be enhanced. Yes, your content marketing page’s placement in the search engine results can be enhanced for the optimum outcome. One great way is to invest in search engine optimisation, or SEO. Popular SEO resellers including Loganix make it their business to understand search engine algorithms so that they can use it for the purpose of attracting more traffic to your blog page or website. The more visitors clicking on your site, the more chances of converting these visitors into paying customers.

As the marketing world is constantly changing, it is always a good tip to pay attention to the trends and to always watch out for what works best for you.
