Do LED signs for Advertising Work?

Marketing is one of the most versatile fields of study in the world today. There are a lot of applications regarding it that it can be really surprising sometimes. You might think of it as selling only, and it is quite true. Selling is a big part of marketing, but there are other facets that some have failed to see. One of which is advertisement, and this has been one of the most important aspects of this field. Most of us do see and use it almost everyday, but it has also changed throughout the years. With the introduction of the internet, the changes are now more pronounced.

You may have noticed that many businesses these days do prefer the online method of marketing. It is so much more apparent for the bigger companies as they aim for an international audience. They would use strategies like search engine optimization to advertise their products and services. There are many facets of this option like content creation, blogging and pay per click ads. It has been said to be very effective especially since most people already have an internet connection right inside their pockets.

Social media has also exploded in the scene these past years. Many people have started to create accounts so that they can connect with others. This was just a trend at first but many saw its potential. Gradually, it started replacing text messaging and introduced other options like video chat among others. It is now easier to contact someone from another country as well. Social media has blurred the lines in our connection with other people. Read about the power of these websites on this page.

Printed Media vs. The New World

However, the print was always there to be a part of the advertising. Even though, there are many who chose to forget about it, the print is still in use. This can be a little baffling since most people already have access with the virtual world. Why would they bother with something that has a physical form? Well, it is quite simple actually: it attracts attention. It is probable that you have already been handed by a printed document made for advertisement. You might have been the one doing the handling.

You might notice that the brighter the colors and bigger the fonts, the more people would actually read it. This same concept is also used online, but for pictures. A billboard is also the same thing, but in a much bigger yet stationary format. The printed billboard has been around for ages. Now, you will still see it dominating smaller cities. However, in bigger ones like the capitals, it is predominantly using LED signs.

Reasons Why LED Signs are better

1. Attract more attention

You might be distracted by your phone as you are walking under the blanket of the night sky. In the city though, there are so many lights that some of them might even be more distracting. Having said that, it’s obvious that LED signs and banners are so much more attractive to modern people. This generation is considered to have the lowest attention spans compared to the previous generations. It might not be a good thing, and as a marketing expert, you need to find a way so that their eyes would fleet to your ad. Using LED lights will do just that.

2. Act as light in darker places

Another way that this can be helpful (albeit in a way that marketing may not have intended) is to act as lights for pedestrians. Many cities around the world have areas wherein there is no reliable light source. These ads can be really helpful for them as they navigate through the night. It can be of great help to the community as long as it is not too bright to blind anybody as well.

3. More creative medium

In stationary banners, you just need to make an image that would fit and then you are done. You can shower it with creativity, but the medium constricts the ideas. With LED-powered signs, you have a lot more freedom to show what you want. You can be as dynamic as possible so that you might be able to gain the attention of the people. Also, adding animations really help in marketing your goods and services.
