Every year, commuters spend hours upon hours stuck in busy rush hour traffic. There are many different ways in which you can reduce your carbon footprint including walking, cycling and taking public transport. If none of these ideas really appeal to you, you can also try and set up a carpool in your work.
Eat Green
We’re all guilty of thinking we don’t have enough time to prepare ourselves a lunch for work and consequently end up at the local shops. However, this contributes to a huge amount of packaging waste that is produced daily! Not only will bringing in your own lunch help the environment, it is also more likely to help your wallet and your waistline. Make sure to keep the right utensils, bowls and plates to eat your lunch with in work for easy convenience.
Save Paper
Have you ever thought about having a paperless office? For many businesses, a lot of work is now conducted online and there is not much need for paper. If you do work in an office that uses a lot of paper, you can be more environmentally conscious by using two sides of the paper and buying chlorine-free paper. This type of paper should be made with a high percentage of postconsumer waste and you should, of course always remember to recycle afterwards!

This again will save you time and money too, so it’s a win-win situation for everyone!
