Third Place Winner Tina Miller of Obadiah Press, Merrill, WI
Tina reports that she used her grant to publish her first book. Here's what she told us:
"Receiving Idea Cafe's Mary Marks MOM Grant provided the seed money for me to get my book to the printer, and I have been going full-speed ahead on that... I want to thank everybody so much for all the gifts and blessings that showered down on me from the day you called to tell me the good news. From the beautiful flowers to the t-shirt to books, anklets, earrings and more, it has all been absolutely wonderful!"

Idea Cafe Grant Winner Publishes Book on Prayer
When A Woman Prays is now available.
Merrill,Wisconsin--When Tina L. Miller of Obadiah Press won an Idea Cafe Grant in October, 2001, she was thrilled beyond words. This grant was the seed money for the printing and publication of ther first book. Miller is proud to announce that, due in large part to that grant (Idea Cafe's Mary Marks MOM Grant), her new book, When A Woman Prays (Obadiah Press), is now in print and available.

Miller knows that miracles can happen when a woman prays and that no prayer ever goes unanswered--and winning an Idea Cafe Grant is just one way her prayers have been answered...
For every woman who has ever been frustrated or disappointed with her life, is searching for something "more," or is dealing with a difficult situation, Miller's new book will inspire readers to tap into the power of prayer and change their lives...
"Especially in light of some of the recent tragic events in the U.S. and around the world, people are realizing they need to tap into the power of prayer and get closer to God now more than ever before," Miller says.
Her own personal relationship with God has sustained Miller through a miscarriage, a divorce, the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, the loss of her job, and countless other trials and tragedies in the course of her 33 years.
Miller describes the book as part primer on prayer and part personal experience, but 100 per cent inspired.
While the book will be officially released nationally in bookstores on May 2, 2002, to coincide with the National Day of Prayer, it is available in advance from Amazon.com. When A Woman Prays is the first of several books Obadiah Press has scheduled for upcoming release.
