Suds for Dudz

Start-up cost: $100.00

Potential earnings: Unlimited!

How to Find Clients: Post flyers in local college mess halls, library bulletin boards, grocers, etc.

Equipment needed: Most preferably: A vehicle to load the laundry in and haul it to the laundromat. Will do if you don't have a car: A big shopping wagon with wheels, real sturdy, so you can walk the bundles of dirty clothes to the laundry.

Qualifications: Creativity to make up eye-catching flyers; Aggressive and outgoing personality to sell the convenience of your service to potential customers; Patience to sit in the laundromat day after day doing someone else's laundry!

All you need here is the patience to do laundry! You can post flyers around the neighborhood in a matter of hours and wait for customers too busy to do laundry themselves (or too lazy!!!) to phone you for the service. You buy a few dozen rolls of quarters at the bank, pick up the bundles of dirty clothes at your customer's dorm, apartment, house, wherever, then head to the local laundromat and viola! In an hour or two you have the load complete and the customer has saved time, you made money, and they have a sack of clean clothes! It might be a good idea to explain beforehand if there are any items you WILL NOT launder, i.e. "dry clean preferred" garments, bathroom rugs, etc. as you may find yourself looking at a size 12 sweater which shrunk to a 2 and a canvas rug that shredded inside the dryer.

About You:
I'm a sales rep for a perfume company. I also attend school two nights a week, travel often and have a hectic personal schedule as well. I hate housework I am always searching for ways to save time on mundane chores such as doing the laundry. I let it pile up for weeks and then complain about spending 4 hours in the local laundromat. If I had a way to get it done affordably, (the drop off service at my local place is NOT affordable) I'd hire the person full time to keep me in clean clothes!
