What does your business do?

Clean Puppies is a Housecall Pet Grooming service that caters to pets and their owners in the Washington, DC metro area. Planning to take pets to standard grooming salons can be an inconvenient task, and sometimes pets experience unnecessary stress by being locked in cages. We aim to make the grooming experience as easy and stressless as possible for both the pet and the owner.

Clean Puppies completes all grooming services inside the home by bringing our portable grooming equipment. All we require from the pet owner is a place to bathe their pet with water, and a suitable place to set up our equipment next to an outlet, and of course...a pet to groom! We can groom while the pet parent is at work, or running errands, or they can stay and watch the entire process. To make our services even more convenient, pet parents can book appointments through our website, and make payment with cash, credit card, or through a number of payment apps.

Clean Puppies takes pride in treating every pet like our own, and providing the best customer service possible! Although our services are convenient, we make sure we provide quality services while making sure the pet parent is happy with our work.

How would you use the grant money?

I would put the grant money towards advertising and marketing as we are moving towards developing partnerships with pet friendly apartment communities in the Washington, DC metro area. We want to sponsor events for community residents to help get the word out about our convenient pet grooming services, and to develop a positive relationship with property managers.

What would the grant enable you to do that you can't now?

The grant will help fund the residential marketing events by helping us to purchase pet toys and treats to give away, various marketing material such as business cards, flyers, and email marketing subscription.

If Idea Cafe's Grant helps your biz reach greater success, how will you "pay it forward" to help others in some way?

Clean Puppies also partners with other local pet related small businesses. We would love to include those businesses in our marketing events to help market their businesses as well.
