What does your business do?

I have a daughter who is in college that was the inspiration for my business as her feet are extremely small for an 18 year old. Wearing a size 4 ½ she has had problems finding shoes in her size that are age appropriate. My goal is to provide an online shoe service for those who have smaller and larger feet so customers can find a shoe in their size with more options and customize their shoes to fit. I will provide top quality dress shoe and casual shoe options in sizes and styles for men and women of all ages at reasonable rates providing men and women comfort, style, correct sizes and great prices. I value the importance of meeting customer’s needs and making timely deliveries. I will also have options for men and women that wear a different size in their feet. You will be able to select the size you need for whichever foot without having to buy an extra pair of shoes and also you will be able to select, narrow, wide, or medium shoe for custom fit. My business started in 2018, and will be located in Memphis, TN. Have 14 years’ experience in retail sales. Eventually I would like to expand our inventory to include accessories, handbags and clothing. Presently our online competitors offer only average sizes or sell to women only. I am looking for funding for updating professional website, advertising, licenses, inventory, and shoe warehouse manufacturer

How would you use the grant money?

I would use the money towards updating my professional website not to exceed $1,000. This would help me to establish my E-Commerce business.

What would the grant enable you to do that you can't now?

Being able to establish our presence on the internet with E-Commerce capability will help us to make the business more accessible to our customers. We would have more exposure to our client base.

If Idea Cafe's Grant helps your biz reach greater success, how will you "pay it forward" to help others in some way?

I am an African American woman living with my parents due to my father’s illness. I am a supporter of local charities and plan to donate money to local schools for supplies for the less fortunate children and also donate shoe for those who are in need.
