What does your business do?

B.E.C. Home Care is a trusted home health care agency in Cincinnati OH founded in 2014. It is a family owned business providing care for the elderly and infirm and specializing in care for individuals with down syndrome, autism, behavioral challenges and the medically fragile. We are concerned with the homeless population which has risen to 11,000 earning Cincinnati the nickname "Tent City." So B.E.C. is expanding our mission to serve the homeless with emphasis on the elderly, veterans, disabled adults with mental illness that are homeless, transitioning, or misplaced. We will start by

buying a one of the many foreclosed properties here to renovate & transform it into appealing new homes for our target population. Residents will receive the appropriate care and services. Those who are able will get help finding work. Those unable to care for themselves will be given permanent care with home health aides to assist with their daily living.

How would you use the grant money?

The money would be used to buy furnishings for our first property so that residents will be comfortable in their new homes with new furniture and decor

What would the grant enable you to do that you can't now?

The money will help with our budget. The advertising and publicity will bring us enormous benefit in starting this new phase of our business. We will be able to reach more people with the information they need to come to us for help.

If Idea Cafe's Grant helps your biz reach greater success, how will you "pay it forward" to help others in some way?

This business is all about paying it forward. We care for those who can't care for themselves. If we achieve greater success it means we can help more people in need and that is our ultimate goal.
