What does your business do?

Atlantic Apothecary is a full service independent pharmacy inside Access Medical Center (an urgent care and primary care facility) in North Myrtle Beach, SC. We will be opening soon and I am excited to be able to serve the surrounding beach area and retirement community with a pharmacy that will give personalized service that has disappeared with the influx of big chain drug stores. We offer prescription drugs, immunizations, E-script service, Medication Therapy Management (MTM) this service is crucial for medicaid and medicare patients making sure each customer is adherent to their medications. Also we offer Over the Counter (OTC) products, diabetic supplies and some medical equipment. We will gladly assist our medicare patients in choosing the appropriate Medicare Plan of their choice. Every patient will be offered counseling on their medications and free delivery is available to all homebound customers. Our goal is to make sure each customer is educated about their medication because this will keep them healthy, happy and less trips to the hospital.

How would you use the grant money?

I would hire more staff to give better customer service.

What would the grant enable you to do that you can't now?

Invest in advertising on web sites to promotes health issues and answer common health questions.

If Idea Cafe's Grant helps us reach greater success we will be able to pass our success to our customers. We can give discounts to customers that are struggling to make ends meet, also some of our elderly customers that are on a fixed income we can apply significant discounts.
