What does your business do?

A cat cafe is a coffee shop with adoptable shelter cats. With an hourly entry fee, people can come and play with cats. Some people can't have cats, and this provides a form of stress relief. Some people who want to adopt can get to know the cats' personalities before they adopt. We also plan to host events like Yoga with Cats, which will bring people together over common interests.

How would you use the grant money?

We had a successful 2-week pop-up , and we are now planning to open permanently. We will use this grant to help us fund the renovations necessary to build out the cafe portion of our cat cafe.

What would the grant enable you to do that you can't now?

This grant would help us pay for rent now while we take the necessary time to renovate our space.

If Idea Cafe's Grant helps your biz reach greater success, how will you "pay it forward" to help others in some way?

We would hire additional employees, which provides additional opportunities to job hunters. As an exciting new concept, we would bring additional traffic to the neighborhood. We would provide advice to other cat cafes who are trying to open. We would hold events for cat education to better the welfare and care of cats. Finally, we would also collect donations for the shelter we work with.
