What does your business do?
RF Media has 5 websites, a webseries and a marketing wing that promotes positive messages in journalism, ad media and the written word.

How would you use the grant money?
1. Positive psychology has created an impact in this decade. Science finds that people can be happy and that happiness can be taught. The Affirmative New Media Association seeks to bring together new media artists with a positive social message. This group is committed to changing the journalistic message to one that is socially and personally positive. The project is twofold, consisting of a web based community and a conference.
The web presence would consist of a database on positive psychology, including articles that can be used with simple link back requirements. There would be a list of contributors that follow a positive message. The community would have both expert pages and life affirming articles.
The conference would focus on new media artists committed to shifting the paradigm to one of a new positive lifestyle. The conference would focus on ways to communicate healthy mental and physical practices to a world ingrained in a head-centered, not heart-centered, modality.

What would the grant enable you to do that you can't now?
This grant money would be used to promote the conference. We would leverage this grant money into other funding by way of ticket and booth sales as well as other grant funding. This cannot happen without your help.

If Idea Cafe's Grant helps your biz reach greater success, how will you "pay it forward" to help others in some way?
Uplifting and promoting others with a positive message is what our organization is about. We believe that positive messages create strong ties. In other words, we will offer networking services to organizations with a positive social message.
