Hi All,
I acutually have 2 questions but pertaining to the above. Both I and my husband are each starting a business, both will be internet based. We live in Northern California.
Let's start with mine, I am starting up a "baby goods" type business. So I know I need a business license and a sellers permit. Do I also need the DBA? And since for now will be sole proprietor can I run off my SS# until I do an LLC or Corp?
Now question for the husbands business... he is looking at starting a photo web site where there will be memberships. What licenses do we need for that type of business. Do we need all that I have listed in my question?

Off course you need to have DBA. And before launching any website for online business you definitely need to acquire the license. So Best of Luck.
