1184, changing over membership of LLC to me

I'm a start-up boutique wine shop (just under 2 years in business). I opened with help from my mom who officially is owner of the LLC. She now wants to turn over business to me. We know how to change me to member and registered agent for state, but how to do it for tax purposes for feds? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

We went through this with our LLC a few years ago. As I recall, our CPA filed two tax returns. One up to the date of the transfer, and one for the remainder of the year. It wasn't any big deal...your accountant should be able to handle it for you.
