Hi,

I'm chiming in late here, but just wanted to add my 2 cents. I'm a web & graphic designer and I also have encountered clients who question my fees. My solution is to outline how many hours it will take to complete a project, and then explain that the project will cost $X.00 per hour. When the client is able to see exactly what they are paying for, they usually either go ahead with the order, or they move on to another designer.

I've had a hard time sticking to my guns about pricing in the past, but now am determined to. The problem in the graphic design community is that there is usually always someone who is willing to complete a job at a budget price. I have to constantly remind myself to value my work, and ask for what my designs are worth.
