I've tried to create them a few ways becuase I wanted to be in a group myself. However, it's very difficult to do for all the reasons that were already mentioned. They're called Masterminds or come from that concept.
The only ones I've seen work are with business owners making 1M+ in income and they pay a yearly fee and monthly fee (like $300) to be part of a group. I've taught classes to those sort of groups.
So for me, I'm hiring a consultant to be my sounding board. And for my business, my next venture will be to create a group in Seattle and then facilitate it for up to 8 people, at 2 hours at $99 per person or 3 hours at $150 and include sandwiches/salad etc. for dinner.
I also plan on starting one online, 1 hour a week or 2 hours every two weeks, too.
