I want to start an on-line cosmetics boutique -- selling cosmetics and skin care items. how do i fiond sources of wholesale cosmetics or how do i purchase from the giants or major cosmetic firms such as Maybelline? i've searched the Internet, but only come up with companies offering books with lists of wholesale sources.

The cosmetics/skin care giants can be found on the Internet, but they only sell in huge volume to the trade. Perhaps I may be of assistance. I am the owner of Simply Elegant Natural Bath Products, a private label natural bath products company based in Massachusetts. I produce, market and sell a small line of all natural bath products(no harsh chemicals, dyes or preservatives. I got started by making skin care products for my own use (I have extremely sensitive skin) and gradually branched out from there; Yes, I think that this type of business would translate very well into a spa business. I don't have an online skin care business (is there such a thing?!) but I do advertise via the internet along with more traditional methods of advertisement.
